Our unique Shepherd's Huts are a modern, bespoke version of the old huts the Shepherd's used to sleep in during lambing season.
The Hampshire Hut sleeps two on a static double bed and has a large floor space to put a cot or air bed if you wish. Inside there is a foldout dining table with two chairs, a wood burning stove with logs and cast iron kettle for those crucial cups of tea! We also provide a camping stove with kettle and saucepan. Outside there is another table and chairs and a large, handmade fire pit with a tripod and skillet for cooking.
The Sussex Hut sleeps up to four adults with a built in double bed and handmade sofa bed that pulls out easily in to another double bed. It has the same facilities as the Hampshire Hut but for four people.
Both Shepherd's Huts will be available to book from April 12th 2021. Hopefully!
Please note; the tents will be available to book when Covid restrictions allow due two shared facilities.
We have three bell tents which can sleep 2-6 people. Currently Bluebell (5 meter bell tent) can sleep up to 4 on a double bed and two chair beds. The Bluebell tent has the same facilities as the Huts but with a fire pit BBQ outside instead of a tripod and skillet. Our two other Bell Tents, Cornflower and Daisy, are available unfurnished for the time being. Get in touch if you'd like to know more, these are not bookable online.
Please note; the Landpod will be available to book when Covid restrictions allow due two shared facilities.
New in August 2020 is our bespoke Landpod. This is a quirky, insulated sleeping pod that is elevated off the ground. The waterproof cover can be lifted or rolled up to allow guests to really be at one with nature. Currently the Landpod is available to book but please note that only mattresses are provided, guests must bring everything else that they need; bedding, cooking and eating equipment. Guests can use a picnic bench and the communal fire pit.
The other stuff
We have two shared composting toilets, a rustic "shower shack" and both Huts generate their own electricity so we think we're a pretty eco-friendly place to stay. We are part of an anti single use plastic campaign.
Both of our Shepherd's Huts and Bluebell Tent are fully furnished (with real beds!) and bedding is provided. We aim to provide everything you need for a relaxing break from normality and if there is something that you need, we will do our upmost to provide it.
The entire space (both Huts and Daisy, Bluebell and Cornflower) can be booked to accommodate 17 people, maybe more. Tents and campers can be accommodated as part of an existing booking, please get isn touch for a chat.
You could sit outside for hours watching nature and farming, listening to the birds singing, but if there is anything you need we are only a phone call and a couple of minutes walk away.
If you have any questions or would like to check availability, please get in touch via email or phone. We look forward to welcoming you soon!
